Overview
BookingBuilder Technologies is committed to protecting your privacy. You can visit most of the pages on our website without giving us any personal information. You can be assured that any information you do provide to us will be treated confidentially.
Collection of your Personal and Business Information
When you license our software, we collect your name, company name and address, and contact information for at least one person in the company. Our website does NOT collect your credit card information, instead we use a fully PCI compliant and well-established payment processor called ‘Stripe’ to handle the credit transaction. The information referenced above is required for billing purposes and so that we can contact our customers and will never be shared by us. We have absolutely no access to your agency’s credit card number or CVV code.
When you install our software and register each computer, we collect some technical information about each computer including the operating system, total memory, version of Internet Explorer and computer name. As the software operates, it periodically contacts our server and updates this information, tells us which GDS is in use, and sends statistics about its use. This information helps us troubleshoot problems and better understand how our customers use our software so we can constantly improve it.
Our web server collects statistics on which pages are viewed and when, and this information is used internally to improve our website.BookingBuilder Technologies develops software applications that assist travel agents with booking on airline websites. The software also performs quality assurance checks, web site monitoring and agency prompting at the point of sale. Our desktop software assists our customers in making travel bookings for their customers from their desktops. No personal information from these bookings is transmitted to us or collected by us, and we do not send or store personal information about the travelers themselves.
We are a virtual company, and use hosted web servers. Our severs are hosted in a very well known, very secure, and very well-respected hosting facility. Our applications are configured via our web servers, and use web services to retrieve their settings approximately every hour. The applications gather statistical data and transmit this to our servers when they retrieve their settings.
Our software operates on individual travel agent desktops, and directly contacts websites from each desktop. The transactions do not go via our servers. No personally identifiable or otherwise sensitive information is transmitted to our servers. When a booking is completed on a supplier website, for example, our local application reads the confirmation details from the local web browser. The flight and fare information is transmitted to our servers, but not the passenger name, and only an MD5 hash of the confirmation number is transmitted. This ensures there is nothing personally identifiable or sensitive stored in our database. The masked credit card number, as it appears on the airline confirmation page, is also transmitted. This is always fully masked according to PCI standards.
Disclosure of your Personal and Business Information
We will not share personally identifiable information with third parties without your permission except as may be required by law and as outlined above. We may disclose aggregate statistical information from the use of the web site and/or our software. Any statistical information that is disclosed will not be personally identifiable.
E-Mail addresses will never be disclosed except as outlined above – only when required by companies performing services on our behalf.
Accuracy of your Personal and Business Information
We provide you with the means to verify and update your information. You can log in at any time to view and edit this information (with the exception of your credit card information which cannot be viewed, only updated).
Protection of Children’s Personal Information
We work only with businesses, and personal and business information is only collected when a business licenses or uses our software. Nothing on this site is designed to be viewed by children and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
